The heart responds to and enjoys mellifluous musical notes (Suswaras) spontaneously, so say ancient Indian scriptures. And the focus at Suswara Sangeetha Vidyalayam is to help students sing such melodious music. The intent is to teach music not just as an academic pursuit but to spread and promote Carnatic Classical Music as a means to protect, preserve and promote Sanatana Dharma, especially amongst younger generations, a small effort to foster Dharmo Rakshati Rakshithaha.

Welcome to Suswara Sangeetha Vidyalayam. We offer Carnatic Classical Music and Devotional Music classes to children ages 5 and above and to adults. We offer in-person classes in the Metro Atlanta Area as well as online classes for remote learners.

​Classes are taught by Santhi Medicherla, a Carnatic Music exponent with over 20 years of experience in practicing and teaching Carnatic Music. 

​

​At Suswara, the focus is on training students on all aspects of Carnatic music, Sruthi (Pitch), Laya/Talam (Rhythm), Ragam (Tune) and Sahityam (Lyrics). Great emphasis is laid on tradition and devotion in terms of singing.

​Students are encouraged to participate and sing in Carnatic Music events on their own or along with the teacher; required additional training and support is provided for such events.
